Everything here is free to read without an account. If you sign in, we keep only what makes your notes follow you.
If you sign in
Your email address and, if you give it, your first name: to send your sign-in link and to know your notes are yours. Your highlights, the passages in your own words, and your quiz questions: private to you, on any device you sign in from. When several readers highlight the same passage, the page shows a faint mark and a count, never who.
If you don't
Your notes stay in this browser only. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Questions to Michael, likes and comments
A question you send with Ask Michael reaches him by email with the passage it is about; if you leave your email, he can reply. Likes and comments under each piece are counted per article; comments are read before they appear.
Leaving
Signed in, open your account (top right) and choose Delete my account: your account, highlights, notes and questions are removed from the live site at once. Copies in the nightly backups expire on their own within about two weeks. Or write to medrado@medrado-ai.com and Michael will do it for you.
